Job Title: Head Baker

At BAKER'S WELL, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Baker to join our team. As a key member of our bakery, you will be responsible for leading our baking staff and ensuring the smooth operation of our production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend daily production meetings to discuss production schedules, inventory, and staff assignments.
  • Manage inventory and stock takes, ordering of supplies to maintain optimal levels.
  • Coordinate baking staff to ensure efficient production and high-quality products.
  • Clean and prepare all baking materials for production.
  • Assemble dry and wet goods for production and execute recipes with precision.
  • Utilize industrial equipment to facilitate efficient production and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Handle hot or dangerous items with care and ensure all baked goods are stored and packaged properly.
  • Adhere to Health, Sanitation, and safety protocols at all times.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work from 4am to 2pm, including weekends and holidays.
  • 2-3 years of experience as a Head Baker or similar role.
  • Experience with baking continental bread, including sourdough, baguette, brioche, and loaves.
  • Experience with cakes, including European cheesecake, mousse cakes, chiffons, and butter cakes.
  • Familiarity with professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders, and dough sheeters.
  • Understanding of food safety practices and ability to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
