Roles & Responsibilities

The famous “hole-in-the-wall” bakery from Canggu, Bali opened its contemporary bakery café at Havelock Road, Singapore in August 2019. Starter Lab centres itself around healthy natural products from hand-crafted sourdough bread, pastries, posh toasts, salads, and locally roasted coffee.

Our sourdough goes through a process of long fermentation using only wild yeast, wholesome natural ingredients, and the magical element of time

We are now on the lookout for talented Bread Technician/Packers for the production of Singapore's best sourdough bread and pastries based in Tai Seng, using wholesome ingredients and artisanal methods.

Role of Bread Technician/Bakers

  • Reporting directly to Head of Production
  • Slice and pack bread for our clients
  • Sort bread according to the packing list
  • Label boxes and crates correctly and clearly
  • Monitor product quality frequently, reporting problems immediately if any arise
  • Work closely with bakers to ensure quality control

Skills and Abilities

  • Food and beverage experience a plus but not essential
  • High hygiene standards
  • Can work independently
  • Excellent communication skills and an eye for detail
