CloudOps Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CloudOps Engineer to manage our cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience in cloud operations, EC2, ECS, and related AWS services.

This role is critical in managing the operations and automation of our multi-cloud environments, with a focus on AWS. The successful candidate will bring strong hands-on expertise in cloud operations, EC2, ECS, infrastructure-as-code (IaC), automation, and CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and supporting cloud infrastructure, managing and maintaining infrastructure on AWS, implementing and managing cloud infrastructure using IaC tools, automating provisioning and configuration tasks, developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, administering and supporting containerized workloads, monitoring system health, improving infrastructure reliability, and collaborating with architecture, security, and application teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in cloud operations, with strong hands-on experience in AWS.
  • Proven expertise in managing EC2, ECS, and related AWS services in production environments.
  • Hands-on experience with CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, and Bash.
  • Solid understanding of Linux-based systems and scripting (Bash, Python preferred).
  • Proficiency in GitLab CI/CD, including pipeline creation and automation for cloud resources and applications.
  • Strong understanding of IAM, VPC, Security Groups, Transit Gateway, CloudWatch, ELB, S3, scaling, and backup practices.
  • Experience supporting high-availability production environments with focus on operational excellence.
