Process Optimization Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Process Optimization Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our process improvement team, you will be responsible for driving process improvement ideas with the objectives to improve process safety, product quality, energy consumption, production rates, and reduce costs.

  • Coordinate, arrange, and plan new grade trial runs with R&D and Operation teams, and handle the trial runs and evaluations.
  • Troubleshoot plant troubles related to processes, perform root cause analysis, and propose corrective and preventive measures as a process engineering function or on request basis.
  • Participate actively in HAZOP, FMEA, and Control Plan studies as a process engineering function for safety and quality improvements.
  • Oversee process-related capital expenditures projects from conceptual design up to Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and lead the project assigned by the department manager.
  • Study and implement Industry 4.0 related technologies as part of Productivity Improvement Projects.
  • Collaborate with other departments in Management Systems of AKSS such as ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, SS651, IATF16949, Safety Case regime, Energy Management System, and ISCC plus as a process engineering function.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor/Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of working experience in Petrochemical Industries (Preferred). For Senior positions, at least 5 years of working experience in Petrochemical Industries.
  • Familiarity with Process Simulation software such as Aspen Plus, Aspen HYSYS is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Distributed Control System (DCS), particularly its logic and sequence modification is a plus.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle a wide spectrum of responsibilities.
