Job Overview

The Technical Support Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of technical projects and daily tasks. This position involves providing support to the technical department, preparing and maintaining repair databases, and compiling technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the technical team in daily operations and project management.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate repair databases and compile technical specifications.
  • Assist in drafting and preparing technical reports and documents.
  • Compile and track technical key performance indicators (KPIs) and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with vessels and technical managers regarding spare supplies, stores, and other requirements.
  • Ensure that technical drawings, manuals, plans, reports, certificates, and other documents are up-to-date and systematically filed.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have a diploma in Marine Engineering or a related field, with at least two years of experience in a similar capacity. You should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
