Senior Commercial Lawyer

Serving as the primary point of contact for legal services in the APAC region, this role provides expert advice on various commercial trading activities. These include oil, oil products, bulk commodities, refined metals, power, and carbon.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver clear, concise, and practical legal counsel under tight time constraints and commercial pressures.
  • Provide guidance on joint venture agreements, share purchase agreements, shareholders' agreements, and structured trade finance documentation.
  • Identify key legal risks, report proactively to management and stakeholders, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Collaborate with the Global Legal Team to provide excellent legal service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Manage external legal advice and support as needed.
  • Build strong relationships across the business and provide legal training on issues and compliance policies.
  • Requirements:
  • Laws qualification with at least 7 years post-qualification experience.
  • Broad legal skills, good IT and organizational skills, and an excellent command of English.
