We are seeking a skilled pharmacist to join our team for a short-term contract position.

### Job Description

The ideal candidate will have expertise in reviewing and verifying prescriptions, ensuring correct dosages and identifying potential risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review patient medication charts or prescriptions for appropriateness of prescribed drugs and contact prescribing doctors when necessary
  • Ensure all orders are clear, specific doses are within therapeutic limits, and potential adverse reactions and interactions are identified
  • Fulfill drug orders accurately and promptly
  • Check and verify prescriptions, dispense prescribed drugs, and provide counselling services to patients
  • Provide drug information services to medical staff
  • Prepare extemporaneous products as prescribed
  • Maintain proper inventory records for all drugs, conduct stock checks, and replenish stock as needed
  • Supervise the work of pharmacy assistants and technicians
  • Liaise with external doctors and hospital-based resident medical officers as required
  • Perform additional duties as requested by senior pharmacists or pharmacy managers

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements in the sale and supply of medicinal products, maintaining records of drug receipt, supply, storage, and distribution

Working Hours: 3 days per week
