Job Title: Senior Sustainability Specialist
Sustainability plays a vital role in the built environment, and we are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Sustainability Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality sustainable design input to projects within the public and private sector, with a special focus on building energy performance.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects, from conceptual design to delivery, and collaborate with senior management and peers to drive sustainability goals. You will also be responsible for mentoring junior staff and developing their skills in sustainable design practices.
To succeed in this position, you will need to have a strong understanding of environmental design principles, building physics, and sustainability benchmarking/implementation. You should also have excellent communication and project management skills, as well as the ability to work under limited supervision.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or higher degree in a field related to building engineering, environmental building design, architectural engineering, building services engineering, or building science. You should also have 5+ years' professional experience in an engineering or sustainability consulting firm, with a proven track record of leading and executing dynamic thermal modelling and energy modelling analysis.
A strong understanding of software such as IES VE, Radiance, and Microsoft Excel is essential, as well as proficiency in writing reports and communicating complex information to stakeholders. Experience in daylight modelling, computational fluid dynamic (CFD), parametric modelling, and programming is also highly desirable.
