Process Operator Job

This Chemical Process Technician role is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team in a chemical industry. As a Process Operator, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the operations of process units and equipment.

The successful candidate will have the ability to diagnose and rectify systems and components' faults in accordance with established procedures and specifications.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as checks, start-up and shutdown operations on process equipment, filter changes, and isolating piping systems for plant start-up, shutdowns, product grade change, and troubleshooting operations.
  • Adjusting process parameters to optimize process operations under supervision of supervisors.
  • Commissioning and decommissioning of process equipment.
  • Performing emergency shutdown of process equipment.
  • Preparing plant equipment for maintenance.
  • Preparing chemicals, including mixing and dilution, for process operations.
  • Performing inter-tank transfers of chemicals and products based on established quality procedures.
  • Performing emergency response activities and drills.

Requirements:

  • NITEC or Diploma in Chemical Process Technology.
  • At least 3-5 years' working experience as a Process Technician in a chemical industry.
