Structural Steel Engineer Role

We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.


Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and review structural designs and drawings for steel structures, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate steel structure designs into overall project plans.
  • Conduct structural analysis and calculate load requirements, stress factors, and material specifications to ensure the integrity and safety of steel elements.
  • Oversee the fabrication and installation of steel structures, ensuring quality control and adherence to project timelines.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities to coordinate project requirements.
  • Inspect construction sites to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to source materials and manage inventory levels for steel structure components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the construction process.

Requirements
  • Professional certification or registration as a Structural Engineer.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
