Reconciliation Specialist Role Overview About the Role:

The primary focus of this role is to support our reconciliation activities, conduct investigations on nostro breaks, and participate in new business initiatives and projects.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Develop a deep understanding of Nostro reconciliation and investigation processes and principles.
  • Perform reconciliation for Nostro accounts of bank entities regionally.
  • Process matching instructions provided by business units.
  • Investigate reconciliation breaks independently and jointly with business units within agreed turn-around times.
  • Ensure all assigned reconciliations are completed within agreed SLA timelines.
  • Perform monthly GL Account Ownership (GLAO) reconciliation for account balance substantiation and highlight aging breaks as of month end to business units.
  • Support BU/SU on ad-hoc queries/issues raised and ensure resolution within reasonable timelines independently.
  • Enhance Nostro reconciliation automation via close collaboration with stakeholders to create auto-matching rules.
  • Develop working knowledge of relevant workflow and office systems. Provide suggestions on improvement to reduce operation risks and increase productivity.
  • Drive innovation, re-engineer Nostro reconciliation and investigation processes to achieve process standardization and improvement in controls.
  • Participate in new business initiative discussions, assess, and provide Nostro reconciliation requirements, raise any risks, and formulate action plans for resolution.
  • Manage, plan, coordinate, and monitor project-related changes.
  • Highlight risks and issues impacting the project.
  • Ensure compliance with all of the policies, guidelines, and codes of conduct.
