Job Description

This role involves coordinating logistics activities, ensuring smooth transportation of goods, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will possess strong multitasking skills, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to changing work schedules.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate logistics operations, including receiving shipments, verifying documents, and preparing shipping papers
  • Process incoming and outgoing shipments, including customs clearance and export procedures
  • Manage inventory, track storage, and facilitate transportation and delivery
  • Handle offloaded ship spares, labeling, and recording; liaise with vessel's Captain/Chief Engineer and their office for instructions and delivery arrangements
  • Request quotations from courier service providers and freight forwarders, submit to Head of Department for approval, and follow up on further arrangements

Requirements:
  • No prior experience necessary, on-the-job training provided
  • Strong multitasking abilities to manage paperwork and onsite work effectively
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, catering to different arrival times of ships and adapting to unanticipated events and tight work schedules
