Job Description

We are seeking an experienced educator to train and develop our nursing staff and students, ensuring high standards of patient care and competency across our facilities.

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping clinical practices, delivering training programs, and supporting ongoing professional development. The jobholder will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating unit-based and discipline-based training programs for nursing staff.

The selected candidate will also conduct on-the-job training (OJT) and assist Nurse Managers in competency assessments, establish an optimal clinical learning environment, and preceptorship programs for new staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training Program Development: Plan, implement, and evaluate unit-based and discipline-based training programs for nursing staff.
  • On-the-Job Training: Conduct OJT and assist Nurse Managers in competency assessments.
  • Clinical Learning Environment: Establish an optimal clinical learning environment and preceptorship programs for new staff.
  • Training Coordination: Coordinate and organize training activities to strengthen generic and specialty nursing practices.
  • Clinical Resource: Act as a clinical resource for Nurse Managers, advising on training and standards of care.
  • Hospital-Based Training: Develop and conduct hospital-based training programs in line with MOH requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Nursing (Specialist Diploma in Clinical Education preferred).
  • Registered Nurse with Singapore Nursing Board.
  • Several years of clinical care experience.
  • Clinical Instructor Certificate or equivalent.
