Nursing Clinical Development Specialist

Job Description
The Clinical Development Specialist is responsible for coordinating the development of unit-based clinical practice, competence and expertise to promote quality patient care at different levels of nursing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate staff induction, clinical education/training, in-service education, hospital or unit-based professional growth.
- Precept student nurses from learning institutions.
- Develop and implement nursing standards to ensure patient care delivery is implemented and monitored according to established standards of care and practice.
Training and Education:
- Establish an optimal clinical learning environment.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate a preceptorship scheme for strengthening clinical support of new staff.
- Provide on-the-job training for new staff and assist Nurse Managers in the wards to ensure their competencies.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Nursing.
- Advanced Diploma in Clinical Education (highly preferred).
- At least 6 years of experience in clinical care, acute setting / geriatric setting.
