Lifting Operations Specialist

Our organization is seeking an experienced Lifting Operations Specialist to join our marine projects team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing all lifting activities on marine vessels and offshore platforms.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing lifting operations, including crane and rigging activities, and will possess comprehensive knowledge of marine lifting equipment, rigging techniques, and safety regulations.

You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and crew members to ensure efficient and safe operations. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage all lifting operations, including crane and rigging activities, on marine vessels and offshore installations.
  • Develop and implement safe lifting plans in accordance with local and international maritime safety regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and safety briefings prior to lifting operations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and crew members to ensure efficient and safe operations.
  • Train and mentor team members on safe lifting techniques and equipment usage.
  • Monitor lifting equipment and ensure regular inspections and maintenance are performed.
  • Maintain accurate records of lifting operations, incidents, and equipment status.
  • Participate in safety audits and contribute to the continuous improvement of safety protocols.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Lifting Supervisor or in a similar role within the marine or offshore industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of marine lifting equipment, rigging techniques, and safety regulations (e.g., MOM, ISO standards).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., NCCCO, OPITO, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with Singaporean maritime regulations and practices.
  • Ability to work in challenging offshore conditions and adapt to changing environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • At least 10 years of related experience in the marine industry.
  • Able to commit to working 6 days per week.
