Ambitious Senior Clinician Leader - Speech and Language Pathology Department Head
About the Role:The successful candidate will oversee the operations of the department, setting performance targets, leading a team of speech therapists to drive clinical innovation and evidence-based practice.
This individual should possess excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills, effective communication, and be meticulous, strategic, fair, decisive, and insightful. They should also be a visionary leader who is driven and decisive, and possesses team-building and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct risk assessments of work systems, processes, and service delivery
- Develop workforce planning and/or manpower projections based on departmental current and future needs
- Conduct audits on department systems, processes, and operations
- Review and refine workplace health and safety audits
- Develop business continuity plans
- Develop health and safety policies
- Develop mentorship frameworks
- Develop talent retention and recruitment strategies for therapists and therapy assistants
Additionally, this role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to enhance clinical services, guiding staff during complex case assessments and interventions, assessing gaps in clinical assessment practice and protocols, and providing consultation as a specialist or expert in complex cases.
Requirements:A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology/Therapy recognized under Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC), Singapore, and full registration under AHPC are required. At least 10 years' experience in a leadership position with general management experience is also necessary.
