Student and Academic Services Officer - Assessments and Progressions


About the Role

This role ensures compliance with academic and assessment policies, coordinates examinations, manages student results and appeal records, and supports academic staff and Unit Coordinators in their duties. The Student and Academic Services Officer (Assessments and Progressions) provides essential administrative support for assessment processes, students' results and appeal management, and academic progression.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of examination systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Oversight of assessment organisation, scheduling, and security to ensure appropriate provisions for students with special requirements.
  • Coordination of invigilators and exam logistics.
  • Advice on course requirements and academic and assessment matters, and management of requests for paper reviews, deferred assessments, and extensions.
  • Handling cases of appeals, academic misconduct, and provision of support to students at risk by referral to appropriate academic resources.
  • Organisation and monitoring of the marking process, ensuring timely distribution of feedback and results release to students.
  • Management of assessment moderation in accordance with partner policies and coordination of the release of results within deadlines.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a Degree or Diploma in Business Administration or a relevant discipline. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, and experience in student information systems or customer relationship management tools is preferred.


Other Information

This position involves working Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 6pm, with Haw Par Villa being the working location. On-the-job training is provided for successful candidates.
