Operational Risk Management Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Operational Risk Management Specialist to join our team in APAC. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing a new regional operational resilience framework, reviewing and analysing Operational Risk Events and Key Risk Indicators, and conducting risk-related meetings and training.
Key Responsibilities
- To work with stakeholders to develop and implement a comprehensive operational resilience framework that aligns with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- To review and analyse Operational Risk Events (OREs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) for reporting at risk management committees/meetings, identifying areas for improvement and developing recommendations for mitigation strategies.
- To assess new product applications and risk reporting from an operational risk management perspective, ensuring that they meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- To perform regular reviews of regional and local operational risk related policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- To organize and conduct operational risk management-related meetings and training, providing expertise and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in operational risk management, preferably in banking or financial services.
- Good knowledge of Operational Risk Management-related regulatory requirements and industry standards, including ICAAP, RCSA, operational resilience concepts, and non-financial risk management.
- Familiarity with project management principles and practices, as well as stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Certifications such as FRM, PRM or any Operational Risk or Business Continuity Management-related qualifications would be advantageous.
- Able to multitask, work independently under tight timelines, and possess strong oral and written communication skills.
