Actuarial Modelling Specialist Manager

HAYS SPECIALIST RECRUITMENT PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Actuarial Modelling Specialist Manager to join our team. As an Actuarial Modelling Specialist Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with the identification of inefficiencies in the existing actuarial modelling ecosystem and proposing solutions to improve it.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with team members from the Finance Transformation and local business units to identify inefficiencies in the existing actuarial modelling ecosystem.
  • Liaise with various parties to propose and implement short-term fixes to alleviate existing modelling pain points.
  • Prepare materials for various process transformation initiatives to be carried out by the Actuarial Transformation team.
Principal Accountabilities:
  • Perform various aspects of Prophet modelling to implement short-term improvements to existing actuarial modelling pain-points.
  • Work with internal team members and external parties to understand the existing modelling ecosystem, propose and implement longer-term solutions to achieve the optimal target end-state.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree with minimum 4 years of extensive actuarial modelling experience in the Prophet actuarial system within life insurance company.
  • Good experience in setting up actuarial codes in the Prophet system and checking the accuracy of the codes.
  • Good experience in optimising the performance of Prophet model.
  • Experience in process automation and enhancement to achieve better reporting process efficiency.
  • Experience of using Prophet Enterprise is preferred.
  • Knowledge of IFRS17 modelling is preferred.
  • Flexible approach to work and strong team player.
Competencies / Skills required:
  • Strong interest in actuarial modelling.
  • Solid knowledge of actuarial cash-flow projection.
  • Ability to communicate complex actuarial modelling issues in plain language.
  • Proactive/self-starter and comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
