Actuarial Valuation Role at HSBC

HSBC is seeking a highly skilled Actuarial Valuation professional to join our team in Singapore. As an Actuarial Valuation Specialist, you will play a critical role in guiding the team working on business planning, stress testing, Economic Capital, and other reporting requirements in the Life Actuarial Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the team in business planning, Prophet Model Testing & Model Governance, and regular updates to various management committees.
  • Provide support on Balance Sheet optimization projects and ad-hoc projects.
  • Work closely with the regional office, external actuarial consultants, internal & external auditors, and regulators to ensure adherence to HSBC guidelines and statutory regulations.
Requirements:
  • Newly/Nearly Qualified Actuary from a recognized Actuarial examination body.
  • At least 6 years of Actuarial experience.
  • In-depth experience with reporting processes and the reporting control environment.
  • Knowledge of Singapore reporting standard, RBC2, is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Good technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure with competing and at times rapidly evolving priorities.
  • Ability to develop cohesive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong Prophet skills is an advantage.
  • Team managing experience is an advantage.
