Job Title:

Advanced Manufacturing Automation Specialist


Job Description:

As an Advanced Manufacturing Automation Specialist, you will play a key role in developing and enhancing factory automation capabilities with intelligent real-time dispatching, scheduling, and workflow execution systems. Your goal will be to enable organizational information transparency and achieve manufacturing operational excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain Fab's Real-Time Dispatching (RTD) rules, automation workflows, and integration solutions to other CIM systems programmed within Applied Materials' Advanced Productivity Family (APF) suite.
  • Coordinate and participate in cross-area teams in developing and optimizing intelligent production business models/rules to attain Fab quality, cycle time, throughput, and equipment utilization goals.
  • Ensure high availability of Engineering Applications by performing periodic reviews, establishing strategies, and executing plans to surpass performance indices, enhance, and provide for renewal of both software and hardware.

Additionally, you will work on:

  • Systems improvement, maintenance, and recovery.
  • Application administration & tuning: backups & restore, health monitoring & alerts, reporting, trending, tuning, including working with IT DBAs & System Administrators.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Our ideal candidate has a degree in Information Technology / Information System / Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Industrial or Operations Research Engineering / Electrical, Electronics Engineering and possesses basic programming knowledge (languages like Java, JavaScript, .Net, ASP, ASP.NET, VBA, SQL).

Familiarity with server installation, Apache, Tomcat, general knowledge on network infrastructure components (RDBMS, OS: Unix, Linux) is required.

Knowledge of data structures of factory systems software such as Manufacturing Execution Systems (PROMIS, SiView) and MCS, SPC, FDC, APC, EIM, CMMS applications used in semiconductor manufacturing is advantageous but not mandatory.
