Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Engineer to join our team at Novo Recruitment Solutions Pte Ltd. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and collaborating with cross-functional teams to secure business deals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop New Business Opportunities
    • Identify and propose new business deals through outreach to potential clients, decision-makers, and target accounts.
    • Evaluate these deals by analyzing market strategies, requirements, and options.
  • Collaborate Across Teams
    • Work closely with local, regional, and global teams to close deals using persuasive approaches that convince key accounts and customers to partner with PS.
    • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers across various management levels within key accounts.
  • Cultivate and Sustain Key Relationships
    • Establish, nurture, and maintain connections with end customers, influencers, and contractors, either directly or in partnership with distribution partners.
  • Manage and Progress Sales Pipelines
    • Identify and develop sales opportunities, working with sales teams and end customers to advance deals through the sales stages until closure.
    • Ensure data is accurately recorded and managed in PS's CRM and sales/project management system.
  • Set Sales Targets and Forecasts
    • Develop budget forecasts and sales volume targets for the Southeast Asia Data Center market.
  • Strategize for Successful Deal Closures
    • Collaborate with sales teams to determine the level of involvement needed from distribution partners to successfully close business and project deals.
    • Provide guidance on pricing and quotation strategies for the distribution network.
  • Expand Market Reach through Strategic Alliances
    • Identify and assist in the qualification of strategic alliances to extend PS's solutions, products, and services into additional markets.
    • Utilize business networking opportunities to access new markets.
  • Provide Marketing and Technical Support
    • Offer front-line marketing and technical support related to data centers to distribution partners and dealers when needed.
  • Analyze Sales and Market Data
    • Evaluate sales and market data to provide insights that aid senior management in decision-making.
  • Promote PS at Industry Events
    • Actively participate in promoting PS at trade events and through industry associations.
    • Collaborate with marketing and engineering teams to create, prepare, and present technical papers and application-specific white papers for use in marketing materials, trade journals, and conferences.

Requirements

  • Education
    • Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience
    • At least 8 years of relevant sales experience in the power generation business.
  • Skills
    • Solid proven direct and channel sales track record.
    • Able to present and negotiate with senior executives and decision-makers both internally and externally.
    • Results-driven, strong will to compete and win in a business environment.
    • Good team player and enjoys interacting with people of all levels.
    • Able to travel frequently and work independently.
    • Strong technical knowledge of power generation products and solutions.
    • Good knowledge of industry standards and requirements.
    • Strong people and communication skills that engage and motivate others.

  • This position requires travel up to 50%.
