Job Title

Senior Research Fellow, Therapeutic Target Discovery

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Research Fellow in Therapeutic Target Discovery.

The successful candidate will lead therapeutic target discovery efforts, focusing on in vivo functional genomics related to metabolic syndrome and liver disease.

  • Collaborate with physicians, bioinformaticians, industry partners, and researchers
  • Conduct in vivo functional genetic screens using mouse models
  • Analyze data to identify potential therapeutic targets
  • Validate targets in vivo and in vitro
  • Determine mechanisms of therapeutic effects
  • Supervise students and interns
  • Prepare protocols, grants, and scientific publications
Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a relevant discipline, with at least 10 years of relevant experience. They will also possess excellent communication skills, proficiency in mouse handling, stem cell culture, NGS, and data analysis.

Additional responsibilities include grant writing and scientific publishing, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines.

Requirements

The following requirements must be met:

  • PhD in a relevant discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with hands-on skills in mouse handling and genetic screens
  • Knowledge of IACUC and safety regulations in Singapore
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in mouse handling, stem cell culture, NGS, and data analysis
  • Experience in grant writing and scientific publishing
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines
  • Leadership skills and international experience
