We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect to lead our technical teams and drive innovation in software development.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java/J2EE development, data ingest and processing technologies, and experience with messaging systems.
You will be responsible for designing and developing efficient solutions, performing code reviews, and fostering knowledge sharing among team members.
In addition, you will interact with project managers, provide regular reporting on progress and status, and monitor technical risks.
Key Responsibilities- Lead technical study into proposed solutions and involve experts from infrastructure, big data, business analysts, and more.
- Document proposed designs and develop solutions with efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure all CI-CD artefacts are part of the solution through careful planning and execution.
- Perform code reviews and foster knowledge sharing among team members.
- Interact with project managers and provide regular reporting on progress and status.
- Monitor technical risks and escalate them to management as needed.
- At least 8 years of experience in software development.
- 5+ years of experience in Java/J2EE development.
- Hands-on experience with Data ingest and processing technologies like Spark streaming and Hadoop.
- Knowledge of Messaging systems like Kafka, Flume, or ActiveMQ.
- Experience with Hadoop (HDFS, HBase, Hive, ORC/Parquet).
- Build tool - Maven/sbt/ant, UML, Restful web services, Jenkins/Team City, Source management – SVN/GIT, TDD using Junit, Jira/QC.
- Solution design using proven patterns and awareness of anti-patterns.
- Knowledge of tools like Phoenix, ElasticSearch, Sqoop, StreamSets.
- Basic understanding of finance and investment banking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for team collaboration and management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient software development life cycle.
- Interest in mentoring and guiding junior team members.
At least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Programming & Systems Analysis, or related fields.
