English Language Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and passionate educator to join our school as English Language Specialist. As Assistant Head, English Language, you will play a key role in shaping the academic direction of our English Language department.

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive curriculum that develops students' grounding in English Language and encourages integration of knowledge.
  • Oversee the effective teaching of English Language in the school and ensure rigorous assessment design principles are employed during assessment vetting processes and examination report writing.
  • Develop and adapt effective teaching and pedagogy strategies for English Language to increase learning effectiveness.
  • Prepare and organize suitable teaching/learning resources (e.g., textbooks, supplementary material, etc.) in collaboration with department teachers.
  • Enhance the professional effectiveness of teachers through dedicated coaching and mentoring.
  • Support the development, utilization, and evaluation of the full potential of teachers in the department via training and professional upgrading plans.
  • Assist with assigned responsibilities as mentors or leads in school-wide organizing committees.
Requirements

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A good Bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline with relevant teaching qualifications.
  • Minimum 5 – 8 years of relevant teaching experience.
  • Interpersonal Skills, Management Skills, Effective Communication, and Curriculum Leadership.
  • Strong verbal communication and written English.
