Senior Lead English Teacher

Job Description:

The Senior Preschool Educator plays a pivotal role in mentoring the team to enhance their teaching practice, fostering trusting and respectful relationships with children. This involves leveraging in-depth knowledge of Early Childhood education and pedagogical expertise to design and implement a developmentally and culturally appropriate curriculum for children. Additionally, they contribute to innovations in teaching and learning practices.

The Senior Preschool Educator is responsible for overseeing the design and setup of secure and quality learning environments for children. They mentor other educators in preparing learning experiences and environments that align with the Centre's philosophy and curricula goals.

Key responsibilities include leading the implementation of teaching and learning approaches aligned with curricula frameworks, reviewing children engagement strategies under the curriculum and pedagogical frameworks, developing initiatives and practices to enhance the quality of the learning environment, and establishing partnerships and collaborations with families and community stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, candidates must have an L2 Certification from ECDA, a WSQ Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education Teaching (DECCE-T) or above, and more than 8 years of working experience in a Preschool Teacher role. Experience mentoring teachers is highly valued.
