Materials Science Expert

We are seeking an accomplished Materials Science Expert to lead our team in material selection and corrosion control strategies for oil and gas projects.

This role involves developing suitable corrosion control strategies, implementing corrosion monitoring philosophies, and conducting erosion/corrosion modeling studies using latest software programs.

  • Lead the material selection study and develop suitable corrosion control strategies for oil and gas projects.
  • Conduct erosion/corrosion modeling, prediction, and assessment studies using the latest software programs.
  • Develop and update engineering guidelines, specifications, and best practices within metallurgy, welding, coatings, and corrosion control.
  • Review detailed design specifications and drawings for compliance with design basis, specifications, codes, standards, and industry practices.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 15 years' relevant experience in materials and corrosion engineering in the oil and gas industry.
  • Familiarity with international design codes, standards, company standards, and design software packages.
  • Fully familiar with relevant industry standards and design and fabrication requirements for oil and gas projects.
  • Strong technical, planning, communication, presentation, and reporting skills.
