Job Title: Lecturer - Cloud Native Infrastructure

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated lecturer to join our team and play a key role in delivering high-quality education in cloud native infrastructure.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and administering module delivery, as well as planning, designing, and developing curriculum and learning materials.

In addition, the lecturer will stay current with changing developments in the profession and educational landscape through active engagement with industry and professional bodies/communities.

The role also involves maintaining links with industry to stay current and promote collaborations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and administer module delivery, related activities (including student assessments and assignments) to meet learning outcomes.
  • Plan, design, and develop module curriculum, learning activities, and materials.
  • Stay current and responsive to changing developments in the profession and educational landscape through active engagement with industry and professional bodies/communities.
  • Maintain links with industry to stay current and promote collaborations.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should have a relevant qualification preferably in the fields of Computer Science/Engineering, with a minimum of 2 years' industry experience. Industry certifications such as CCNA, RHCSA, Azure, AWS, DevOps will be a plus.

You should also be proficient in two or more of the following areas:

  • Scripting languages such as Python, Powershell, Bash
  • Cloud Operations in DevOps with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
  • Infrastructure Automation for configuration and management e.g. Ansible/ Chef / Puppet
  • Monitoring and working with large data using APM tools e.g. Splunk / Elk stack
  • Container Management / Orchestration, e.g. Kubernetes / Docker Swarm/ Portman
  • Administration of Private Cloud Infrastructure e.g. VMWare / OpenStack and Public Cloud Infrastructure e.g. AWS / Azure / Google
  • Administration skills in Data Centre / Enterprise Networking, Linux and Windows servers
