Job Overview

This role is part of the second line of defense, conducting periodic reviews and assisting with ongoing due diligence processes for corporate and institutional clients. Some exposure to individual retail clients is also involved.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments on changes to client information, ownership structures, adverse news, or other relevant developments.
  • Evaluate KYC documentation, risk assessments, and ensure adherence to internal AML/CFT standards.
  • Perform risk-based periodic reviews on existing clients to guarantee compliance with internal policies and MAS requirements.
  • Recommend account controls/restrictions to mitigate MLTF risks posed by high-risk clients.
  • Document all reviews and decisions made, supporting audit and regulatory requests.
  • Collaborate with Commercial, Legal, Operations, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate due diligence processes.
  • Stay updated with MAS regulations, guidelines, and industry best practices to maintain current and effective compliance measures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with 2-3 years of experience in compliance, AML, or due diligence roles within financial services.
  • Strong interest in Cryptocurrency and the Crypto-industry (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of Cryptocurrency (advantageous).
  • Familiarity with MAS regulatory expectations, particularly under the Payment Services Act.
  • Understanding of corporate structures, beneficial ownership, Source of Wealth/Funds, and AML/CFT red flags.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and investigative skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
