Job Opportunity:

The position of Deputy Manager, Civil is available for a dynamic professional seeking to contribute their expertise in coastal protection planning and project management. This role involves leading projects from conception to completion, ensuring that all aspects of the project are effectively managed and executed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed project briefs, technical specifications, and requirements for consultancy services related to coastal protection and building works.
  • Plan and execute project cycles, including developing project briefs, tendering, proposal evaluation, project award, and initiation processes.
  • Understand the environmental context and propose feasible engineering solutions to mitigate risks associated with coastal protection and climate change.
  • Perform thorough quantitative and qualitative analyses to determine the implications and costs of proposed strategies.
  • Manage consultants and contractors to ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and ordinances.
  • Project manage external consultants for coastal protection, drainage, and infrastructure studies, planning, and designs.
  • Conduct site inspections to verify that works comply with approved drawings and specifications.
  • Develop long-term coastal protection strategies, identifying potential risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Plan stakeholder engagement and collaborate with government agencies to secure inter-agency support.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering (preferably Civil and Environmental Engineering).
  • At least 5 years of experience in coastal engineering and project management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Knowledge of coastal & drainage modeling software and GIS systems.
