Deputy Chief Financial Officer

The Deputy Head of Finance plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of financial functions across various business units. This involves overseeing monthly financial closing, preparing and analyzing profit and loss statements, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities include safeguarding the integrity and accuracy of accounting data and records, identifying and reporting any exceptions to the Head of Finance. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, be able to work closely with senior management, and possess excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Required Skills and Qualifications- A qualified Accountant with a degree in Accountancy or its equivalent.
- At least 10 years of experience in working in a Finance department in a bank or similar function in a financial institution.
- Possesses strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills, and problem-solving ability.
- Must be hands-on, IT savvy and able to handle multiple systems.
- Possesses a strong sense of process, data governance and controls.
- People management experience will be an added advantage (direct or indirect).
