We are seeking a skilled LNG Derivatives Trader to join our team at Aurex Group in Singapore. This role involves managing a profitable derivatives desk, developing hedging and optimization strategies, and scaling up a derivatives trading book within risk mandates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and grow the derivatives trading book along the LNG value chain
  • Develop and execute the derivatives trading strategy
  • Collaborate with market analysis/research teams to develop actionable insights from market patterns and back-test new trading strategies
  • Ensure execution of trading strategies as part of the overall derivatives portfolio
  • Monitor performance of derivatives portfolio and books against trading mandates
  • Lead the analysis of historical investment performance, portfolio company performance, financial statements, financial models, and industry research
  • Represent the team and the portfolio to current and prospective investors

Requirements

  • At least 5-8 years' experience trading and managing a successful derivatives desk at a leading commodity trader/bank/hedge fund with a focus on commodity spreads
