Marketing and Communications Manager

We are seeking an experienced Marketing and Communications Manager to drive our strategic marketing initiatives, enhance our visibility, and lead communication efforts.

The ideal candidate will be a creative and analytical thinker with a passion for storytelling, digital engagement, and content management.

They will report to the Executive Director (ED) and develop and execute integrated marketing and communication campaign strategies to support our goals and other tasks as directed by the ED.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Website & Media Channels: Ensure all online platforms are aligned with our branding, goals, and target audience, under the ED's guidance.
  • Content Management Support: Support the ED in creating, curating, and managing content across all media channels.
  • User Experience and Design Assistance: Aid the ED in ensuring the website is user-friendly, accessible, and visually appealing.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyse the performance of the website and media channels.
  • Digital Media Content: Assist the ED in developing a comprehensive digital media content strategy.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure content is accurate and reflects our initiatives and messaging.
  • Event Communications: Assist the ED in developing and executing a strategic communication plan to promote events.
  • Training (Academy) Communications: Assist the ED in developing and implementing a communication plan to promote training programs.
  • Newsletter Strategy Support: Assist the ED in developing and overseeing the strategic vision for our newsletter.
  • Press Release Strategy Support: Assist the ED in developing and implementing a strategic plan for press releases.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; OR at least 5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or related roles.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing marketing campaigns and communication strategies.
  • Strong writing and editorial skills with ability to craft compelling content for various audiences.
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) for creating marketing assets.
  • Strong ability to analyse marketing metrics, generate reports, and use data-driven insights for decision-making.
  • Experience in public relations, media engagement, and crisis communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
