Architectural Professional

We are seeking an experienced Architect to join our team. As a Senior Architect, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of projects from concept to completion.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop project briefs and work on these as the project progresses;
  • Prepare design proposals using computer-aided design (CAD) and traditional drawing methods;
  • Contribute to planning applications and other regulatory application procedures;
  • Understand how the design aspects of a construction project influence and relate to performance and functional issues, so that practical questions can be addressed at an early stage;
  • Follow up with the detailed design process and co-ordinate design information;
  • Liaise with appropriate authorities (e.g. Planning enquiries and technical officers) to obtain statutory approval;
  • Co-ordinate and liaise with the various consultants on the project team;
  • Advise clients on procuring the best and most appropriate contracts for the work they are undertaking;
  • Lead the preparation of tender documentation and construction drawings;
  • Assist in administering contracts and project certifications;
  • Obtain feedback on work in progress and finished results from clients;
  • Make site visits to check on progress and ensure that the project is running within the agreed timescale;
  • Solve problems that might occur during building/construction stage;
  • Carry out defect inspections;
  • Manage the work of junior staff/direct reports.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years experience in the architectural industry in Singapore or Malaysia;
  • Able to work within a team and in a fast-paced environment;
  • Familiar with building regulations (Singapore or Malaysia);
  • Strong Portfolio;
  • Good working attitude, proactive and conscientious.
