Senior Cost Management Specialist

The Senior Quantity Surveyor is a pivotal role in the construction industry, responsible for overseeing and managing all cost-related aspects of projects. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strategic planning, and effective communication skills to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
About the Role:
The ACMV Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing and preparing all cost estimates for construction projects. They will prepare calculations and estimations of costs for rendering, bidding, and determining the price of the ACMV service. The successful candidate will seek to minimize costs while adhering to project requirements, standards, and Authority regulations. They will also keep track of contract progression with regards to any variations and maintain open communication with stakeholders. Other key responsibilities include handling multiple projects, meeting deadlines, allocating work to contractors, assessing hazards and risks, communicating with management and stakeholders, controlling project scope, developing cost reduction strategies, monitoring project costs, and ensuring compliance with building and construction regulations.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in Quantity Surveying or a related field. A minimum of 8-12 years of relevant working experience in the building construction industry or ACMV services would be an added advantage. The successful candidate must be able to prioritize tasks effectively, plan and organize their workload, and communicate complex ideas clearly. They should also be proficient in computer software such as AutoCAD/3D and Microsoft Office. Additional skills required include the ability to work independently, good interpersonal and communication skills, and flexibility to work alternate Saturdays.
