Job Title: Senior Construction Lead

We are seeking an experienced and skilled senior construction lead to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning & Management:
  • Develop and manage master construction programs, including catch-up programs when necessary.
  • Oversee the implementation of projects on a daily basis, focusing on schedules, quality, and manpower.
  • Plan work schedules, forecast resource requirements (manpower, materials, equipment), and control usage and wastage.
  • Identify and resolve drawing discrepancies before work begins, collaborating with technical teams and consultants.
  • Plan for site access, tower crane location, erection, and dismantling at different stages of the project.
  • Site & Subcontractor Coordination:
  • Liaise closely with subcontractors, architects, consultants, and authorities.
  • Manage subcontractors and track their work progress, providing weekly schedules and conducting daily coordination meetings.
  • Verify construction details, designs, defects, and variations based on plans and drawings before work or payment processing.
  • Conduct regular communication with all project stakeholders to coordinate site works.
  • Quality & Safety:
  • Oversee quality control and health and safety matters on site.
  • Ensure all construction activities adhere strictly to environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project efficiency and outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education:
  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience:
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant working experience, with a proven track record of managing deliverables and milestones on time and within budget.
  • Language Proficiency:
  • Strong communication skills in Mandarin are essential to effectively liaise with and manage our Mandarin-speaking subcontractors and workers on site.
  • Technical Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent people management skills to coordinate between various disciplines and teams.
  • Possesses excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients and their representatives.
