Electrical Systems Engineer Role

This is a critical position in the facility management team responsible for overseeing the optimal operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of all electrical systems across facilities.


The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth knowledge of electrical services within the built environment and have experience in managing building services such as lighting, power outlets, fire alarm systems, security systems, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and backup power systems.


This role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work under pressure.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the routine operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of all electrical systems, including power generation, transmission, and distribution.
  • Manage and maintain building services such as lighting, power outlets, fire alarm systems, security systems, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and backup power systems.
  • Diagnose and identify faults in complex electrical engineering systems, building installations, plant, and equipment.
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for electrical assets to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. At least 5 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering within a facility management or building services environment.


Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) is highly preferred; relevant certifications in facility management are a plus.

  • Proficiency in interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
