BIM Modeller Job Description

As a skilled BIM Modeller, you will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and models of buildings using Building Information Modelling software. Your primary objective is to ensure that all project deliverables meet the required specifications and requirements.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and coordinate technical drawings, detailing, and documentations.
  • Utilize BIM/CAD software to create shop drawings, construction drawings, and as-built drawings.
  • Support the project team with design engineering works.
  • Review subcontractor system drawings, CAD/models, and submissions prior to coordination.
  • Liaise with internal project members, subcontractors, clients, and consultants to issue coordinated drawings for approval/construction.
  • Ensure all drawings are compliant with project specifications & requirements.
  • Clarify and raise RFI for any discrepancies. Coordinate/communicate with internal and external teams members & consultants.
  • Resolve or conclude clashes highlighted and continuously monitor for resolutions provided by the project team.
  • Perform modelling and shop drawings as instructed and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Create presentations using BIM-related software as required by the project team.
  • Maintain proper documentation of clash detection reports.
  • Manage the process of coordination, exchange of data, and collaboration of BIM with project stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other BIM software.
  • Strong understanding of building information modelling principles.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
