Healthcare Support Specialist

Job Description:

As a Healthcare Support Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting with the transportation and transfer of patients within the hospital or to other facilities. This will involve working closely with ward staff to ensure seamless patient movement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in transporting and transferring patients on trolleys to wards and other hospitals as required.
  • Help receive and transfer patients from ambulances to wards and other areas as needed.
  • Support patients who require assistance getting on and off wheelchairs.
  • Send patients to ancillary departments for treatment or examination.
  • Accompany patients to allied health departments for treatment or examination when necessary.
  • Retrieve equipment, specimens, blood, x-rays, films, and case records from allied health and ancillary departments.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by superiors.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Capacity to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to healthcare protocols.
  • Physical stamina to perform duties that require standing, walking, and lifting.
  • Familiarity with hospital procedures and protocols.
