Avaloq Development Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end design, development, customization, and maintenance of solutions built on the Avaloq Banking Suite.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Development and Customization:
    • Design, develop, test, and implement customized functionalities within the Avaloq Core Banking Platform using Avaloq Script (APL) and parameterization techniques.
    • Extend Avaloq functionalities to support new business requirements across modules such as client onboarding, payments, securities, lending, core accounts, and reporting.
    • Ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability of Avaloq-based solutions.
  • Requirement Analysis and Solution Design:
    • Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, and product owners to gather and analyze business requirements.
    • Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and implementation plans.
    • Participate in technical and design discussions to propose robust and scalable solutions.
  • Integration and Interfaces:
    • Develop and maintain integrations between Avaloq and other enterprise systems (e.g., CRM, payment gateways, compliance tools).
    • Work with APIs, web services (REST/SOAP), and messaging protocols for seamless data exchange.
  • Testing and Deployment:
    • Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
    • Manage deployment processes including change set creation, transport, and release planning.
    • Support continuous integration and delivery pipelines where applicable.
  • Maintenance and Support:
    • Provide Level 2/3 support for Avaloq applications, troubleshoot production issues, and perform root cause analysis.
    • Monitor system performance and suggest enhancements or improvements.
    • Ensure timely resolution of incidents and change requests.
  • Documentation and Compliance:
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all developments, interfaces, and configurations.
    • Ensure solutions adhere to internal standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
    • Participate in internal and external audits as required.
