Job Summary

This role is responsible for managing and monitoring the timing and quality of client deliverables, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reporting of the funds' performance to the clients in the form of profit and loss reporting and month-end NAVs. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing the team and providing leadership, training, and coaching to the managers and fund accountants in the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Deliverables
    • Manage and monitor the timing and quality of client deliverables, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reporting of the funds' performance to the clients.
    • Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of client deliverables, ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements.
  • Team Management
    • Manage the team and provide leadership, training, and coaching to the managers and fund accountants in the team.
    • Review work of team and provide technical expertise to assist the accountants in their responsibilities.
  • Financial Reporting
    • Prepare / review periodic client NAV reporting package, capital calls/distributions and fees calculations.
    • Prepare and review of annual and semi-annual financial statements for funds. Statements are prepared in accordance with various accounting standards such as IFRS, US GAAP, and work within the agreed deadlines.
  • Stakeholder Coordination
    • Coordinate with all stakeholders to the financial statement preparation process including clients, auditors, and internal team within SS&C.
  • Process Improvement
    • Actively involved in projects and process improvements.
Requirements
  • Education
    • University degree in finance/accounting or commensurate experience.
  • Experience
    • At least 8+ years' experience working within a financial services environment in a Fund Accounting, and in the review of various types of financial statements with a good knowledge of the Fund industry preferably in the Hedge and Private Market Funds space.
    • At least 5+ years people management experience.
  • Skills

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills – ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with clients, team, peers, and management.
    • Forward-thinking with the ability to anticipate issues and drive solutions.
    • Ability to work in changing, fast-paced work environment.
