Software Development Specialist

This role is an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-performing team building innovative security solutions for critical infrastructure, smart cities, and homeland security. As a Software Development Specialist, you will work collaboratively with project teams to design, develop, and test software applications that meet product functional specifications.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with hands-on experience in full web application development lifecycle, including tools, best practices, continuous deployment, dependency/complexity management, scale/performance tuning, monitoring, resiliency, etc. Experience with relational databases, virtualization, containers, Docker, Kubernetes, 3D Unity development, Apache Kafka, Elasticsearch, Kotlin, Android app development, and MQTT is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop software applications meeting product functional specifications.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify technical requirements and develop solutions.
  • Work closely with architects to create and maintain product/solution development roadmaps.
  • Ensure all work adheres to client software development methodologies and processes.
  • Provide timely support to IVVQ teams and site deployment, operation, and maintenance ensuring 24/7 system operational needs.


Requirements:
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in full web application development lifecycle.
  • Expert knowledge of scalable micro-services-based architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of architectural styles and design patterns.
  • Experience leading a software team (good-to-have).
