We are seeking a highly skilled mechanical engineer to lead our team's mechanical design efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design of mechanical systems, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders, and ensuring project success.

The role involves handling mechanical design independently, leading assigned project sections, supporting Section Lead in daily project activities, and ensuring mechanical tasks meet quality standards and deadlines.

Responsibilities
  1. Lead mechanical design tasks (2D/3D) and oversee the design of mechanical systems.
  2. Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
  3. Support Section Lead in daily project activities and progress tracking.
  4. Ensure mechanical tasks meet quality standards and deadlines.
  5. Advise on design approach, technical standards, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  6. Guide and collaborate with junior engineers and draftsmen.
  7. Troubleshoot design issues and provide engineering solutions.
  8. Attend meetings, track deliverables, and maintain project discipline (e.g., man-hour tracking).
  9. Develop and review mechanical calculations, drawings, and 3D models for marine piping/machinery systems.
  10. Coordinate with shipyards, consultants, and vendors.
Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years in marine mechanical/piping design; 2+ years in a senior role.
  • Skilled in AutoCAD, AVEVA, and MS Office.
  • Knowledgeable in class rules and HVAC/piping systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
