Responsibilities
  • Maintain the health of all potted plants and seedlings for transplanting into potted plants in the school premises.
  • Carry out plant transplanting as and when required for potted plants to be used indoor and outdoor.
  • Troubleshoot and replace batteries or minor components in automatic irrigation systems.
  • Deal with possible pest problems that could damage planted and potted plants and seedlings.
  • Support teachers in setting up, planting and maintaining portable Vegepod container gardening beds in the cultivation of vegetables and herbs.
  • Advise on planning and upkeep of thematic gardens to ensure plant suitability and sustainability.
  • Maintain the school's aquaponics system, including preparing grow beds, planting suitable crops, and monitoring plant growth.
Requirements
  • Familiarity with basic horticulture and gardening skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects (if needed).
