Job Description

We are seeking a talented professional to join our team as a Scientific Support Specialist. In this role, you will provide technical expertise to drive sales and support existing customers. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver scientific/technical knowledge to assist in the sales process, including pre-sales technical support, customer requirements analysis, sample analysis, and feature-by-feature demonstrations.

You will also be responsible for preparing and presenting technical presentations and seminars to potential customers, as well as understanding customer problems, recommending solutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Your success in this role will depend on your ability to integrate Agilent products into customer environments, ensuring that they function per specifications, and providing remote and on-site troubleshooting services.

In addition, you will maintain close alignment with sales partners, management, R&D, and product marketing to communicate customer feedback and ensure post-sales applications support inquiries and complaints are documented and logged according to regulatory and quality policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver scientific/technical expertise to drive sales and support existing customers

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Master's degree or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Instrument-Analytics, or a related field. You should have 5-8 years of relevant experience in separation science and method development, gas chromatography, and mass-spectrometry with analytical chemistry.

You should also have in-depth knowledge of GC/GCMS technologies, market trends, and applications, as well as experience in Food, Oil & Gas industries. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization are essential.

A proven track record of teamwork and a collaborative mindset are also required. Experience with Agilent solutions and proficiency in Python is a plus.

Additional Details

This job has a full-time weekly schedule, with travel required approximately 25% of the time. The shift is day-based, with no end date, and the job function is Services & Support.
