Job Title: Senior Physiotherapist

">Job Summary

The role involves delivering comprehensive physiotherapy services to residents in nursing homes, with opportunities to collaborate with healthcare professionals to design personalized rehabilitation programs.

Residents will benefit from advanced technologies and robotics to alleviate pain, improve muscle strength, joint range, and mobility, increase exercise tolerance, and enhance respiratory function.

Responsibilities
  1. Conduct thorough assessments to identify the rehabilitation needs of residents and develop tailored physiotherapy plans to promote recovery, restore function, or maintain movement.
  2. Evaluate and monitor treatment progress regularly to document resident needs and ensure appropriate interventions are implemented.
  3. Prescribe assistive devices to enhance functional abilities in daily living activities as required by residents.
  4. Maintain effective communication with multidisciplinary teams involved in the rehabilitation process and refer residents to relevant specialists for consultation and intervention.
Training and Development
  1. Guide and supervise physiotherapy students, therapist assistants, caregivers, and volunteers to ensure safe and effective treatment of residents.
  2. Provide training for caregivers to prepare them for residents' discharge into their home environment.
Administration
  1. Accurately document resident information and treatment details in databases to support evidence-based practice.
  2. Ensure proper documentation is maintained for all treatments provided to residents.
  3. Perform other duties assigned by the Rehab Manager or Director of Nursing.
Requirements
  • Possess a diploma or degree in physiotherapy recognized by the Singapore Allied Health Professional Council.
  • Preferably have 1-2 years of experience in rehab services, hospitals, care homes, and rehab centers. Being fully registered with the Singapore Allied Health Professional Council is preferred.

Physiotherapists must demonstrate excellent patient care skills, orthopedic knowledge, healthcare expertise, administration abilities, musculoskeletal understanding, sports medicine acumen, stimulation techniques, nursing aptitude, prevention strategies, robotics proficiency, case management capabilities, and rehabilitation prowess.
