Cyber Security Threat Operations Role

This role requires a skilled threat detection analyst to drive threat detection engineering as part of cyber security threat operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operationalizing scalable threat detection use cases across the environment for cyber security defence. They will partner closely with cybersecurity threat operations to ensure threat detection use cases are clearly defined and optimized for security operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operationalize scalable threat detection use cases across the environment for cyber security defence.
  • Partner closely with cybersecurity threat operations to ensure threat detection use cases are clearly defined and optimized for security operations.
  • Conduct security research on threat detections.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure business context is utilized effectively for threat detection.
  • Develop efficient threat detection use cases that aligns with overall threat detection strategy.
  • Assist in audit, regulatory and incident reporting matters where relevant.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years working in a cyber security operations function or similar.
  • A good understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, attack techniques (MITRE ATT&CK), and threat detection methodologies.
  • Working knowledge with different SIEM tools as a power user.
  • Strong analytical and practitioner skills, combined with good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to break down complex problems and articulate them clearly to a non-technical audience.
