About the Role

As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in our team, working closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized intervention plans.

  • Participate in comprehensive assessments to identify students' strengths and areas of need.
  • Develop and implement targeted interventions to address sensory issues, motor coordination, and functional skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver training programs for educators and parents.
Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Occupational Therapist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assessment and Report Writing: Conduct thorough assessments and write detailed reports to inform intervention planning.
  • Intervention: Develop and implement evidence-based interventions to support students' learning and development.
  • Program Development: Contribute to the development of curriculum and program materials that reflect best practice in occupational therapy.
  • Coaching and Training: Design and deliver training programs for educators and parents on topics related to occupational therapy and autism.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Full registration with the Allied Health Professional Council (AHPC).
  • Experience working with individuals with autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for working collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
