Job Description
This Is An IT Support Group is seeking a highly skilled Biotechnology and Horticulture Professional to join our team as a Micropropagation Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with our orchid hybridisation programme and contributing to native plant conservation through the research and development of micropropagation techniques.
About the Role
The Biotechnology and Horticulture Professional will be responsible for assisting with the micropropagation of tissue-cultured plantlets in the laboratory, preparation of sterile culture media and sub-culturing of different types of orchid and fern cultures. The successful candidate will also contribute to the development of new micropropagation techniques and participate in ongoing research projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the micropropagation of tissue-cultured plantlets in the laboratory
- Develop and implement new micropropagation techniques
- Contribute to ongoing research projects
What You Will Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology or a related field
- Relevant experience in tissue culture work or related disciplines
