Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of plant and manufacturing equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems, mechanical aptitude, and problem-solving skills. They will also be proficient in using electrical and mechanical tools and instruments, as well as having a basic understanding of CNC machine controls and machine shop equipment operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a thorough understanding of plant safety policies and procedures, ensuring all work is performed in accordance with these standards.\
• Uphold high standards of quality and workmanship in all maintenance activities to ensure operational efficiency and product integrity.\
• Drive every issue to its root cause failure or malfunction, utilizing a combination of electrical and mechanical knowledge.\
• Utilize electrical multimeters, meggers, amprobes, and similar instruments proficiently to diagnose and address equipment issues effectively.\
• Install and startup new manufacturing or support equipment, including foundation preparation, assembly, leveling, and alignment according to manufacturer's specifications.\
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on plant and manufacturing equipment per documented procedures, assisting in developing maintenance schedules and procedures.\
• Diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions on plant and manufacturing equipment, including finding and replacing blown fuses, repairing damaged wiring, and replacing defective components.\
• Design, layout, fit, and install conduit, cable trays, and other industrial wiring systems.\
• Plan material requirements and fabricate tools, components, or assemblies using common materials and methods such as welding and bolting.\
• Conduct bench repair and rebuild of electrical and mechanical equipment components.\
• Perform layout, fitting, and installation of screwed or welded piping components and systems.\
• Demonstrate entry-level operation of machine tool job shop equipment, including mills, lathes, and surface grinders.\
• Identify and implement improvements in materials, methods, and processes to enhance profitability and efficiency.\
• Proactively contribute to root cause analysis and problem-solving efforts to prevent recurring issues.\
• Assist in developing maintenance schedules and procedures.\
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.\\-

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree preferred.\
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment.\
• Proficiency in using electrical and mechanical tools and instruments.\
• Basic understanding of CNC machine controls and machine shop equipment operation.\
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.\
• Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.\

Working Conditions:

The Electrical Maintenance Specialist will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and hazardous materials. They will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
